It would be much more interesting if she had added to it near the end of her life, when she could have added insights gained over the whole arc of her career. Nevertheless, the information about her early life, her family, her attitudes, and her ambitions are all very enlightening. Even more enlightening is the one chapter written by Chuck Traynor, her then manager and later husband. He inadvertently reveals aspects of his personality and attitudes that are definitely disturbing. All the more reason to wish that Marilyn had written after their relationship was over. In the end, I found Marilyn to be a likable person and one who seemed to be fully aware of what she was doing, both ordinairily and unconventionally. And the Foreword written by her daughter not long after Marilyn's death was genuinely touching, and confirms my overall opinion of her.
A very honest look into the life of one of the best actresses in the adult or mainstream industry. It was sad she died at such a young age because she had so much more to accomplish. McKenna your mom is an awesome woman you can learn so much from her life. I wish you the best.
