This book is just darling, from the illustrations to the simple but useful projects. I would say that with some supervision my 9 and 7 year olds could do these almost completely by themselves. (My kids have build building and inventing since they were toddling) This book will be the perfect handicraft book for our Charlotte Mason homeschool
Little ones have such curious minds. This book is a good project book for daddy or mommy for that matter, and his son or daughter. Now a days everything is computer this and that and we are losing the bonding time, this book helps to get some of that back.
From an educator's point of view:1. Book is all black & white inside2. Drawings are not simple & clear for children.3. I don't see how a child will feel visually stimulated to start any of its projects.
Great easy cool projects the kids will remember forever. Sad for the author Googling the title will yield even more projects without buying the book. I still bought because I like having it in my hands and take it anywhere.
This is a classic! I used some of the recipes with my 6 year old this summer and he loved looking through the book and picking out which one we were going to make. I wish there were more drawings but for the price it can't be beat!
There are some great beginner projects in this book. My son is 8 years old and enjoys wood working. I'd say the projects, though a little "dated" in appearance, came with better instruction than live classes he took at a craft school.
Old school. Simple Straightforward. Easy to follow (if you read through once before starting). Perfect as an early parent-and-child experiential learning guide.
This was an add gift from my children to their dad. Great projects and love the nostalgia or an older print edition. They can't wait to start working on projects together and building memories.
